Ally threw me my baby shower - it seems like such a long time ago. She made a very cute diaper wreath in a nautical theme for the door. I decided to reuse the wreath, however, I changed out some of the ribbon and added the painted characters and initial to go along with the theme. I think that it turned out so cute!
We used pastels in blue, green and yellow. Using a color scheme along with the theme really helps to pull everything together and makes it look cohesive.
The table was set with a blue and white chevron table runner that I made on top of a simple white table clothe. The food was displayed in white and silver serving dishes. The plates, napkins, and cups are from Party City in the Robin's Egg Blue color.
A "It's a Boy!" banner is a great way to accent an area for a baby shower. I made this banner with fabric, heat and bond for the letters and ribbon. The flags are sewn together and the letters are appliquéd to each flag. This did take some time to make, but I think that it turned out great!
All in all, I believe that it was a very successful shower and that Ally had a great time being showered by all her friends and co-workers! I can't wait to meet your lil man!!
until next time,
Amelia
