Simple and Chic

While perusing the endless database of wedding bliss that theknot.com has to offer, I came across some pictures that made my heart pitter patter with glee! So, I decided to share them with you to see what you think.

Don't be shy - share your opinion!

These pictures make me want to get married again and again just so I can change my color palette each time.

enjoy :)

This cake is to-die-for! *Simply Chic*

I love this idea if you are having a seated dinner. Looks like they simply wrote with a paint pen the table numbers and names of the guests for each table. My friends know that I adore worn looking items and re-purposing them in a unique way.

This is a simple bouquet of Angel's Breath. The way that the photographer captured in a slight blur the delicateness of the bride's hands, and of the flowers just makes me smile!
*Pure and Simple*

These are only a few (I saved a ton more)!

As I mentioned before let me know what you think!

What's in a name?

Just like it is tradition for a woman to change her name when she marries (not to say that all do - good or bad) I have decided that my blog needed a new name - A name that hints at a wedding blog. Let me know what you think of the new name and I am going to try to make some changes in the days to come. Let me know what you think so far!!

Wedding Blues

I believe that I am suffering from a mild case of the Wedding Blues. Since my wedding in September has come and gone I have missed all the researching, planning and crafting. I still continue to look at wedding magazines and websites and often give ideas to newly engaged friends. All I think about is breaking into the wedding business, and I am not very picky about what part. I love the photography aspect, but also love planning - and, of course I love bridal fashion. I know I've thrown the "L" word around a lot, but I truly am enthralled with the business. But how does an individual get started in a business that they have no formal training or experience in?
Recently, I have browsed several sites looking for career opportunities working for wedding magazine companies - how naive of me not to realize that most are located in NYC and CA. Yes, there are smaller, local magazine companies, however, they do not advertise for career opportunities or even internships. Is a foot in the door too much to ask for?
I am going to continue to put my feelers out there and maybe I should just start making contact with locals in the business. All they can say is no, and it wouldn't be the first time I've heard that word before. If you are reading this and have any ideas, suggestions, etc feel free to leave me a comment.

Thanks for listening to me rant!

Inspiration Boards!!!!

My friend LC is my inspiration for this board. She is recently engaged and trying to figure out what she wants for her wedding. I put this together to show her that there are a ton of possibilities...this particular board only being one.

pink and rustic romance. Soft delicate and I love it all!

I love the soft romance of lace and a light blush pink. I started with the cake and my love of lace and this is what I came up with!

Inspiration from my own wedding! A huge thanks to Katie Langley - My awesome photographer!!
